I never thought that it would be so difficult to choose a name for our second baby but it has been hard to decide. When we found out that Arielle was a girl I already knew what her name was going to be and how I was going to spell it so there was never any doubt about it. With the new baby I have had to put a whole lot of thought into her name and especially the spelling of it. I decided that I like the name "Avery" but I don't really like that spelling of it. I have done some internet searches and it turns out that the spelling that I was considering "Averey" is defintely a boy's name and it's origin is African and it means "the strong one". Due to the fact that it's a boys name, I have sadly ruled it out as an option. I came up with some alternatives that upon my search I have found can either be used for a boy or a girl or have not been used at all!
Please pick your favorite spelling and help me make a final decision!

I really like the name you have picked out.
I like Avery or Averie, I just think the ie way is probably less common, that's why I like it. The other two ways make me think of Ava which is a cute name too, but seems like you would say it differently then.
I've actually painted the last 2 on canvas!
Now, a friend and I were just talking about this name several weeks ago and the different spellings {we had a friend that named her girl "Avery" that's why!} When we were told the name, my friend asked, "is it 'Avery' or 'Avarey'??" She pronounced them differently and actually I think she is right. So, I guess it depends on how you want to say it?! I like the "Averie" myself - b/c it is different but still is "Avery" - does any of that make sense??
